About:
Eb's Source for Adventure
Eb’s Adventure began with founder Eberhard “Eb” Fass, a German immigrant who settled in Saskatoon and opened Eb’s Boat and Ski Shop on December 1, 1973. After lean early years, he helped build local outdoor culture—cutting what became a 40-km network of cross-country ski trails known as “Eb’s Trails,” fostering sailing on Lake Diefenbaker and Blackstrap, and turning the store into a community hub for gear talk and trip stories.
Stewardship later passed from longtime employee James Briens, who partnered with Kevin Robinson, and today the shop is owned by Alison Meinert, who continues Eb’s ethos: sell and support only the activities the team personally does, and keep the shop a gathering place for skiers, paddlers, and adventure-seekers.
