About:
West Point Cycles
West Point Cycles is an independent bicycle retailer dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service and meeting the cycling needs of its community. Offering a diverse range of high-quality bikes, accessories, and services at fair prices, the company welcomes riders of all ages and experience levels—from beginners to seasoned athletes. With a strong focus on respect, passion, and loyalty, West Point Cycles aims to exceed customer expectations at every turn.
As British Columbia’s oldest bicycle retailer, West Point Cycles first opened in 1930 on West 10th Avenue. Originally a bicycle and lawnmower shop, it played a pivotal role in Vancouver’s mountain biking scene, serving as the birthplace of Rocky Mountain Bicycles and a launchpad for several well-known cycling brands. Over the years, it has evolved into a welcoming and trusted destination for cyclists of all backgrounds.
Family-owned and operated, the current owners worked in the business for nearly a decade before taking over, building a dedicated team that shares their passion for cycling. Viewing staff as an extension of the West Point family, the company fosters a supportive work environment where employees can develop fulfilling careers while delivering expert guidance and enthusiasm to customers.
With a “customer-focused, bicycle-driven” philosophy, West Point Cycles prioritizes its loyal riders, striving daily to provide the best possible service. Despite industry changes, the shop remains a cornerstone of the community—”The Neighbourhood Bike Store”—offering everything from kids’ bikes to fully customized road and mountain bikes. Its full-service repair and maintenance department ensures that every bike runs at peak performance, making it a one-stop shop for all cycling needs.
