Phat Moose Cycles

Phat Moose was founded in 2003 by Kent, a physicist, and Dave, an electrical engineer, who began building bikes out of a backyard shed to serve the growing street and dirt-jump scene. As demand grew, they moved into their current location on Hawthorne Avenue, establishing themselves as a full-service bike shop offering everything from custom builds to a wide selection of bikes, apparel, and accessories.

While custom builds remain their specialty, the shop caters to all types of cyclists with a knowledgeable and approachable team that includes Kent, Dave, Eric, Davis, and Hope. Whether customers are looking for expert advice, gear, or simply a good bike conversation, Phat Moose has become a trusted part of Ottawa’s cycling community.
