Since 1989, Hardcore Bikes has been a trusted provider of high-quality mountain bikes, road bikes, commuter bikes, and e-bikes. However, the core of its business lies in bike repair and servicing, often tackling repairs that other shops cannot. Now entering its 36th year in 2025, the shop continues to be a fixture in the cycling community.

Hardcore Bikes was founded in 1989 by Jim Moulden as Edmonton’s first dedicated mountain bike shop. From the start, it set itself apart by offering rare specialty mountain bike components and hand-built frames. Originally operating out of a small alleyway shop—once a sausage factory—the business quickly expanded as mountain biking surged in popularity.
