Fridrich’s, a family-run Cleveland fixture since 1883, has grown from a modest coal-and-feed business into one of the nation’s oldest and largest bicycle retailers. Housed in its Ohio City location since the 1890s, the shop now boasts more than 10,000 square feet of showroom space—supported by three times that in storage and workshop areas—and offers the region’s widest selection of bikes, parts, and repair services.

Customer care remains the cornerstone of the operation, whether patrons need a full bicycle purchase, a quick tune-up, or a single inner tube. True to its community-minded roots, Fridrich’s also diversifies seasonally, stocking sleds, toboggans, and other snow gear in winter. Still managed by the founder’s grandson, the shop continues its 141-year legacy of local, family ownership and invites visitors to stop in and explore.
