About:
A&M Cyclery
A&M Cyclery was founded in 1929 by Fred and Luella Herman in St. Louis. The shop has undergone several ownership changes over the years, including being sold to Virgil Herman, Gilbert Chappius, and the Chappius-Blackwood family. Karl Becker purchased A&M in 2000 and operated it until his death in 2018. The Becker family then sold the shop to Jeff and Erin Gerhardt in 2019.
The Gerhardts reopened A&M in 2021 after remodeling the space, and the shop is now operated by the family. A&M Cyclery holds the distinction of being the oldest continuously running bike shop in St. Louis, with a rich history in the historic Tower Grove neighborhood.
